Introduction

If you've ever gotten frustrated with ads on YouTube or struggled to stay productive on the computer, well, you've come to the right place.

You've probably used Google Chrome before and know there are thousands of extensions you can get to help boost your productivity.

Well, in this article, I will go over 5 of my favorite chrome extensions that you can use too. We're gonna be talking about Chrome extensions because it's the most popular. So let's get started!

Extension #1: Workona

Get it on:

When it comes to big projects, having dozens of tabs open for reference is not uncommon. Eventually, I have so many tabs that I don't even know where to find the certain information I need at a given moment. That's where Workona comes in.

Workona is an extension that allows you to create workspaces for each of the different projects you're working on so you can easily organize your tabs by category.

This allows you to have access to the tabs you need for a current project while having the other tabs that you don't need hidden out of sight.

Also, if you need a certain tab for a different project in a different workspace, Workona allows you to easily move it or even duplicate it into your desired workspace which is a nice feature to have.

So if you're a tab hoarder like me or are just looking for something to help you manage your tabs more efficiently, then give Workona a try.

Extension #2: uBlock Origin

Get it on:

Tired of all the ads on YouTube and your favorite websites? Well, then look no further than uBlock Origin.

uBlock Origin is a nice, lightweight adblocker that blocks pretty much anything. It can block ads on YouTube and articles to even ads on my favorite shows on CBS since I don't have premium.

So if you want to avoid all the ads and get the ultimate ad-free experience for free on all your favorite websites, look no further to uBlock Origin.

Extension #3: Pocket

Get it on:

This is the best place to store articles you need later. If I ever come across an article on the web that I want to read later, Pocket is the best extension to have. Pocket allows you to save any article you come across online and read it later when you have free time.

They have a beautiful reader mode that is free from ads and other distractions so you can easily focus on the article and nothing else.

There's also a nice listening mode which you can use if you want to listen to the article instead of read it.

With their wonderful mobile app, you can also easily download articles for long airplane rides or long road trips where you have no service.

You can also easily tag your articles to help you sort them into different categories if you want to as well.

Extension #4: Web Clippers

Get it for:

Web clippers are also another great tool you can use to save material you need for later. There are many different web clippers out there but the most notable ones are part of note-taking apps like OneNote, Evernote, and Notion.

Although I don't really use web clippers that often as I have other extensions like Pocket that do similar things, maybe they might be better for you.

I find that web clippers are most helpful for research or recipes as it saves them to my Notion database where I can easily find them for future reference for the specific project I'm working on.

If you do most of your work on a note-taking app like Evernote and Notion, then maybe a web clipper is a nice extension to have as well.

Extension #5: Podcastle

Get it on:

If you've ever dreaded reading long articles assigned by teachers or just want to be able to turn your articles into podcasts to listen to while doing something else, then Podcastle is right for you.

Podcastle is something I discovered on Youtube and is a very convenient way to convert all your articles into a listenable podcast. All you need to do is download the extension and create an account.

Once you have that done, whenever you want or need to listen to an article instead of read it, all you need to do is click on the Podcastle extension and click "convert to podcast". That's it!

You also have the option to download the podcast so you can listen to it offline or on the go, or just keep it for later use.

So whether you are just sick of reading long articles or just want to be able to listen to articles instead of reading them, then give Podcastle a try.

Conclusion

Well, I guess that's it. Those are 5 of the most helpful Chrome extensions I use that you should give a try too. Hopefully, you will find them very helpful as I did.
